Wolves scrapped out a slender 1-0 win at relegation threatened Aston Villa to move up to fifth in the Premier League table as they secured a third consecutive victory since the resumption of the Premier League season.
An action less first half passed with little talking points but Wolves came up to speed with the introduction of Adama Traore in the 60th minute.
The brilliant winger played a role in the goal less than two minutes later, finding Raul Jimenez whose sublime pass picked out Jonny Castro on the edge of the Villa box and he found Dendoncker, his left footed shot locating the bottom right hand corner.
Villa mounted pressure towards the end of the match but they lacked the cutting edge to hurt Wolves.
- The defeat means that Villa will remain in the bottom three, while Wolves stay fifth, two points behind Chelsea who have played a game less. With Manchester United still to travel to the Amex to face Brighton next week Tuesday
