Genoa 1-3 Juventus: Ronaldo scores stunner as Sarri's side maintain momentum in title race

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning goal as Juventus restored their four point lead atop the Serie A standings.

Lazio's win over Torino had seen Juve's lead cut to just a single point prior to kick off at Genoa.

After a dominant first half display failed to produce the goods, Juventus made the pressure count early in the second half, with Paulo Dybala opening the scoring before Ronaldo found the top right hand of the net in sensational style.

Substitute Douglas Costa put the visitors out of sight with an equally impressive strike before Andrea Pinamonti drilled in a 76th consolation for Genoa.

Juve wasted little time getting in on the front foot, with Martial Perin, on loan from Juventus pulling off two smart stops to deny Ronaldo.

Perin's strong display continued after the break with Adrien Rabiot heading straight at him from close range, before he made an outstanding stop from another Ronaldo strike.

Juve's breakthrough finally came five minutes after the restart through Dybala,as he twisted his way clear of several defenders before lashing in a shot which Perin could only Parry into the net.

With Genoa's resolve finally broken, Juve had their second six minutes later as Ronaldo scored his 24th league goal of the season from 25 yards out.

Costa curled in a sublime third shortly after coming on as a substitute to wrap off Juve's victory in style, although Genoa had the final say when Pinamonti scored from a tight angle.

Key Facts:
