Arsenal 2-0 Manchester City:Arteta claims 2nd big win in four days
Arsenal coach claimed a win over his former boss as a Pierre Emerick Aubameyang brace secured safe passage for Arsenal into the FA Cup final.
Arteta left City last december to join Arsenal, and although it has been a bumpy ride since then, the Spaniard is now one win away from ending a very wavy campaign with a piece of silverware.
Arsenal claimed the lead through Aubameyang's half volleyed finish in the 19th minute from a Nicolas Pepe cross.
The Gabonese striker had earlier missed a great chance when he misses a one on one, but he made no mistake when he stretched out to poke in Pepe's cross across the Brazilian keeper and in via the far post.
Shkodran Mustafi saw his header tipped over the bar towards the end of the first half as Man City failed to have a single shot on target.
Raheem Sterling missed the target soon after the break, but Emiliano Martinez was called into action as he kept out a low attempt by Riyad Mahrez, while he must have been grateful to see De Bruyne's free kick hit the wrong side of the net.
Aubameyang sealed the win in the 71st minute as he ran onto Kieran Tierney's lofted pass in what was a rare Gunners attack before slotting through Ederson's legs.
