Aston Villa 1-0 Arsenal:Mikel Arteta's men get their momentum stalled, while Villa out of the bottom three

Aston Villa climbed out of the relegation zone with just one game left courtesy of a goal from Trezeguet in the first half of thier match against the Gunners.

Villa took the lead 27 minutes in as from a Conor Hourihane's corner, the ball found its way to Trezeguet on the edge of the box and he drilled a fine low volley into the bottom right corner.

Jack Grealish sent a fierce shot just above the top right hand corner shortly before half time.

Eddie Nketiah cane close to an equaliser but he agonisingly sent a header on to the post before it was gratefully grasped by Pepe Reina.

Aston Villa next face West Ham on the final day of the season,while they'll hope that Arsenal will be far more improved when they host Watford at the Emirates.

Bournemouth 0-2 Southampton:Danny Ings score as the loss leaves Cherries on the brink of relegation

Danny Ings scored his 21st Premier League goal of the season as Southampton defeated Bournemouth 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium.  Ings scored with a good finish in tge 41st minute as he put glitters to sweeping Saints counter attack.  He had a chance to double his side's lead, but he sent a tame shot that was saved by Aaron Ramsdale, after Harry Wilson handled in the box. Bournemouth thought they had equalised through Sam Surridge, only for VAR to judge that Callum Wilson was in an offside position whilst also interfering with play, before Substitute Che Adams hit the final nail in the coffin to almost certainly dash Bournemouth's hopes of staying up. Eddie Howe's men are three points from safety with a trip to Everton still to come. Survival on goal difference is the best they can hope for, as 17th placed Watford will condemn the Cherries to the 2nd division for next season, if and only if they can claim a point from one of their last two games with matches agains...

Sassuolo 1-2 AC Milan:Ibrahimovic bags brace aa Rossoneri move up to fifth

Milan moved up to fifth in the Serie A standings courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic double after the veteran striker's first half brace either side of Francesco Caputo's penalty. Milan took the lead after Kessie would the ball as Sassuolo attempted playing from the back, before Hakan Calhanoglu's cross was nodded in by the big Swede. Milan lost two players to injury as they had to be without Andrea Conti and Captain Alessio Romagnoli, before Caputo converted from the penalty spot after a lengthy VAR review. But Calhanoglu and Ibrahimovic combined again before the end of the first half as Ibra gathered the Turkish international's through ball before rounding Andrea Consigli to score. What's next? Milan next host Atalanta on Friday in a key fixture, while Sassuolo travel to the Sao Paulo to face Napoli on Saturday.
