Bournemouth 4-1 Leicester City: Cherries boosts survival hopes with impressive come from behind victory

Bournemouth injected hope into their Premier League survival push with a brilliant 4-1 come from behind victory over the Foxes.

Leicester looked on course for their second win since the restart after Jamie Vardy's 23rd league goal in the 23rd minute, but they overly faultered in the second half.

Kasper Schmeichel's error after the hour mark led to Wifred Ndidi conceeding a penalty, which Junior Stanislas scored and 101 seconds later Dominic Solanke ended a 39 match wait for a first top flight goal for the club. Caglar Soyuncu received a straight red card in the aftermath after an altercation with Callum Wilson.

A Jonny Evans own goal in the 83rd minute already sealed Leicester City's fate before Dominic Solanke rounded off the scoring with his second, the victory moving Bournemouth to within 3 points of 17th placed Watford with 3 matches left to play, while Leicester City could fall to fifth if Manchester United beat Southampton on Monday.

Bournemouth 0-2 Southampton:Danny Ings score as the loss leaves Cherries on the brink of relegation

Danny Ings scored his 21st Premier League goal of the season as Southampton defeated Bournemouth 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium.  Ings scored with a good finish in tge 41st minute as he put glitters to sweeping Saints counter attack.  He had a chance to double his side's lead, but he sent a tame shot that was saved by Aaron Ramsdale, after Harry Wilson handled in the box. Bournemouth thought they had equalised through Sam Surridge, only for VAR to judge that Callum Wilson was in an offside position whilst also interfering with play, before Substitute Che Adams hit the final nail in the coffin to almost certainly dash Bournemouth's hopes of staying up. Eddie Howe's men are three points from safety with a trip to Everton still to come. Survival on goal difference is the best they can hope for, as 17th placed Watford will condemn the Cherries to the 2nd division for next season, if and only if they can claim a point from one of their last two games with matches agains...

Milan moved up to fifth in the Serie A standings courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic double after the veteran striker's first half brace either side of Francesco Caputo's penalty. Milan took the lead after Kessie would the ball as Sassuolo attempted playing from the back, before Hakan Calhanoglu's cross was nodded in by the big Swede. Milan lost two players to injury as they had to be without Andrea Conti and Captain Alessio Romagnoli, before Caputo converted from the penalty spot after a lengthy VAR review. But Calhanoglu and Ibrahimovic combined again before the end of the first half as Ibra gathered the Turkish international's through ball before rounding Andrea Consigli to score. What's next? Milan next host Atalanta on Friday in a key fixture, while Sassuolo travel to the Sao Paulo to face Napoli on Saturday.
