Chelsea 1-0 Norwich:Lampard's men claim slender win against relegated Norwich City

Olivier Giroud scored as Chelsea claimed a 1-0 win against Norwich City to put a four point gap between themselves and chasing pair of Manchester United and Leicester City.

The first attempt at goal came when Ruben Loftus Cheek nodded a downward header at the near post.

Pulisic came close after he was found by  Marcos Alonso but he could only steer a shot into the side netting. The young American came close again as after a superb cross from the right, he brought down the ball magnificently only to see his left footed shot tipped onto the bar by Tim Krul.

The breakthrough finally came when Pulisic after great work on the flank with Marcos Alonso cut back on to his right foot and picked out Giroud who nodded the ba into the net and continue his good goalscoring run for the Blues.

In the second half Chelsea continued bossing the possession but had nothing to show for their efforts,as Christian Pulisic was again denied by Tim Krul after Olivier Giroud tried repaying the American in same faith by chipping the ball over the Norwich defence.

The last real chance of the match again came Chelsea's way as Tim Krul denied the Brazilian's free kick from the left.
