Newcastle United 1-3 Tottenham Hotspurs:Tottenham claim away win to keep hopes of European football next season alive

Harry Kane scored a brace as Tottenham claimed a vital 3-1 win away at St James' Park against Newcastle.

Jonjo Shelvey had a great opportunity to score the first goal as he nodded wide of the mark.

But Tottenham took the lead through Heung Min-Son as he scored for the second game running after he was found by Giovanni Lo Celso. But, Newcastle equalised in the second half through Matt Richie as he was the fastest to react on loose ball and tap home the leveller.

Mourinho introduced Steven Bergwijn after the goal and the attacker just three minutes after coming on he put in a cross that was converted by Harry Kane for his 200th club career goal.

The match was rounded off by Harry Kane in the 90th minute as Martin Dubravka parried an Erik Lamela shot into the path of the England international and he coolly converted for his 201st club career goal. 

What's next? 
Spurs host Leicester at home on Sunday while Newcastle travel to the Amex to face Brighton on Monday.
