Tottenham were on the wrong side of a controversial VAR decision as Jose Mourinho's men slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Bramall Lane.

Harry Kane seemed to have pulled Spurs level immediately after Sander Berge's opener, but he was denied by the technology.

Despite there being a clear foul on Lucas Moura in the bull up, VAR official deemed the Brazilian to have handled the ball as his fell.

Tottenham's frustration was compounded midway through the second half as Lys Mousset tucked into a gaping net.

Oli McBurnie made sure of victory six minutes from time, Kane's late effort the only scratch on a win that ended the Blades four match winless run.

What does it mean? Blades get back on track in style 

A run of poor results since the restart had seen United drop to 10th prior to kick off, yet they are now up to seventh place, which should be enough to at least secure a spot in the Europa League qualifiers.

What's next? 
Sheffield United are back in action on Saturday, facing Burnley at Turf Moor, while Tottenham host Everton on Monday

Danny Ings scored his 21st Premier League goal of the season as Southampton defeated Bournemouth 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium.  Ings scored with a good finish in tge 41st minute as he put glitters to sweeping Saints counter attack.  He had a chance to double his side's lead, but he sent a tame shot that was saved by Aaron Ramsdale, after Harry Wilson handled in the box. Bournemouth thought they had equalised through Sam Surridge, only for VAR to judge that Callum Wilson was in an offside position whilst also interfering with play, before Substitute Che Adams hit the final nail in the coffin to almost certainly dash Bournemouth's hopes of staying up. Eddie Howe's men are three points from safety with a trip to Everton still to come. Survival on goal difference is the best they can hope for, as 17th placed Watford will condemn the Cherries to the 2nd division for next season, if and only if they can claim a point from one of their last two games with matches agains...

Chelsea 2-0 Wolves:The Blues secure Champions League spot after convincing win

Chelsea have confirmed that they will play in Champions League next season as goals from Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud sealed a 2-0 win on the final day of the Premier League season. Although the Blues had a sluggish start to the game, but two goals in first half stoppage time. First, through a brilliant Mason Mount free kick, before Giroud doubled the lead a short while later. Although the first half of the match was highly devoid of action until a wonderful Mason Mount free kick goal. While, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount combined to set up Giroud, before he rounded Rui Patricio and held off Conor Coady before scoring into an empty net. Diogo Jota brought out a save from Willy Caballero just before the hour. But the Blues were hardly troubled as they held on to 4th position in the league in Lampard's first season in charge.

Sassuolo 1-2 AC Milan:Ibrahimovic bags brace aa Rossoneri move up to fifth

Milan moved up to fifth in the Serie A standings courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic double after the veteran striker's first half brace either side of Francesco Caputo's penalty. Milan took the lead after Kessie would the ball as Sassuolo attempted playing from the back, before Hakan Calhanoglu's cross was nodded in by the big Swede. Milan lost two players to injury as they had to be without Andrea Conti and Captain Alessio Romagnoli, before Caputo converted from the penalty spot after a lengthy VAR review. But Calhanoglu and Ibrahimovic combined again before the end of the first half as Ibra gathered the Turkish international's through ball before rounding Andrea Consigli to score. What's next? Milan next host Atalanta on Friday in a key fixture, while Sassuolo travel to the Sao Paulo to face Napoli on Saturday.
